CH Residence

Residence

In the heart of Filothei, a two-story residence from 1953 is being restored and redesigned to preserve its architectural character and history. The project includes extending the ground floor and reconfiguring all floor layouts to meet the needs of a new family. The design emphasizes the transition from old to new, evident in both the interior and exterior. The front facade, facing the street, features travertine window lintels to maintain the historic style, complemented by new metal balcony railings and pergolas.
The private back facade is reconfigured with large openings for full garden access, blending the new extension seamlessly. Inside, classical elements in the entrance hall and home office gradually give way to a modern, open layout in the lounge and living room. A soft color scheme and natural materials ensure a contemporary yet timeless aesthetic. Private rooms on the first floor feature clean-lined joinery, creating uncluttered, functional, and comfortable spaces.
